In the
year 1989 Arunodaya Dnyan Prasarak Mandal, Jalgaon
started the college with Arts Faculty affiliated to the
SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai to imparting higher
education to the girls from under privilege sections of
the society for bring them in the main stream of higher
education.
In order to groom the students academically and
professionally, the college has introduced six
skilled-based courses which comprises of Tailoring
Training, Basic Computer Training, Pre-Martial
Counseling and Communication Skills - English, Hindi&
Marathi. These courses are conducted free of cost for
the welfare of the students.
The institution is well equipped with infrastructure
facilities such as Language Lab, ICT Centre and ICT
enabled Class Rooms & Seminar Halls, Indoor Sports Hall,
Ladies Rest Room, Canteen, Purified RO water facility
etc. The college does not have place for harmful
practices such as ragging, discrimination etc. It
follows the rules and regulations about environment
safety and plastic free environment.
The college has an active NSS Unit. It develops
leadership qualities and creates social awareness among
the students. The students regularly participate in
University Level Youth Festival and Sports Tournaments.
We have moderate ratio of success in such competitions.
The institution regularly organises field visits and
educational tours to have first-hand knowledge to the
students. The institution also successfully organises
seminars/workshops on emerging issues for the students
and teachers to update with current trends in higher
education to achieve overall development. The
institution jointly organized Inter-Collegiate Sports
Tournaments twice with the collaboration of Department
of Sports, SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai.
The teachers are highly qualified and dedicated to their
teaching-learning and research as well. They
continuously engage with student oriented activities.
The institution has been successfully running the unique
Savitribai Phule Student Welfare Scheme and Cycle Bank
Scheme for the betterment of needy students. These
welfare schemes meant for students are sponsored by the
faculty members, philanthropers and some NGOs from
Jalgaon city. Despite being a single faculty college, it
is our pride that the library possesses more than 10078
references & text books, 71 magazines, Encyclopediasc
and internet enabled amenities for searching references.
The Institution has been Re- Accredited by NAAC at ‘A’
Grade with a CGP of 3.02 in 3rd cycle on 1st March 2021. |
