After a serious debate, we realized there
was not a single women’s college affiliated to the
S.N.D.T. Women’s University, Mumbai. Accordingly, we
sought affiliation of the said University to introduce
women’s college having Arts and Commerce faculty in
1989. Previously the institution was headed by Hon.
Madhukarrao Chaudhari [Ex. Education Minister]
Our society owns centrally located one acre
land in an educational belt. Our campus is covered by
green and clean campus. The college building is two
storied having modest facilities, indoor sports hall
having wooden badminton court and play ground.
Earlier the university used to give regular
admission to the dropout girls above 18 years age and
minimum 8th standard pass. The University had a
provision to conduct the foundation courses and
eligibility examination namely UET till the academic
year 2000. Later on due to UGC notification the college
started to give admission to only the girls & women who
had completed 12th standard examination.
Our learned principal and teaching staff
strives to develop the students socially educationally
and academically. The college conducts various co
curricular, extracurricular, sports and cultural
activities aiming at total personality development of
the students. The students from nearly 30 surrounding
villages have been receiving quality higher education
for the last thirty years. We are going to introduce
Commerce faculty and some skills based course along with
PG in some subjects in the nearest future.
Our college successfully
underwent the two cycles of NAAC Accreditation and
maintained B grade. Presently, our Institution has been
Re- Accredited by NAAC at ‘A’ Grade with a CGP of 3.02
in 3rd cycle on 1st March 2021. I must express my
sincere gratitude towards the members of our management
for their unconditional support without which we could
not have made continuous progress. |
